Okrisky is situated off the class II road No. II/405, which connects the largest Vysocina Region towns, the regional centre Jihlava (24 km) and Trebic (10 km). It is a significant railway junction (services to Brno, Jihlava, and Znojmo). Okrisky is a natural centre of a catchment area with about 7 000 people, it can be conveniently accessed by train or by bus. There are several dozens of businesses, sufficient catering and lodging capacities, a network of shops and services, and a branch of Ceska sporitelna ("Czech Savings Bank"). The town of Pribyslavice where two companies with foreign participation operate (Huhtamaki CZ a.s., MANN + HUMMEL (CZ) s.r.o.) is located 2 km away from Okrisky.
The industrial zone is situated at the south-western edge of the town, off the road No. II/405, about 500 meters far from the centre. It is a follow-up to the current business activities in that part of the town. The zone is divided into two parts. Investments have already been made into Part "B" with an area of 1.4 ha; Part "A" with an area of 2.7 ha is being prepared. The locality is situated in a slightly sloping terrain.
